Extending vSAN-VUM integration to host I/O controller firmware
vSAN 6.6 started to attack firmware update for the first time for HCI customers because firmware is one of the key components in vSAN HCL. But vSAN UI is not the ideal place to automate firmware update, VUM should be the recommended product and UI that drive this because it's the product that all VMware customers are familiar with and use for ESXi software upgrade and patching.
With this feature, we are moving the existing firmware update features for a few supported controllers from vSAN to be under VUM, centralizing all things related to ESX upgrade/patching including driver/firmware updates.
