Hi everyone, I hope that you had an awesome Easter long weekend and break last week. In Australia we had another short week with Friday being ANZAC day. With a 3 day week it does make it tough to see all my customers and get all of my work done without cheating and working on the weekend.
My travels into the world of ITBM has been slow of late but I am still hoping to get more in depth on this. I have spent quite a bit of time on one of my favourite products however vCops (vCenter Operations) and as usual this product has shown me how good operations management can be when we work with a solution that provides an intelligent way to work with complex and an often dating amount of data. If you are not working with this solution yet I suggest you check it out. There is a version to suit everyone.
Have a great week next week with presumably most things back to normal for most of us with the Easter break over.
Virtually Yours

- VMware Consulting Blog: Architecture Overview: Microsoft Lync with VMware Horizon View (http://blogs.vmware.com/consulting/?p=1403)By Ray Heffer, VCDX #122, VMware EUC Architect Since VMware Horizon View 5.2, there has been support for Microsoft Lync 2013. In fact when I say ‘support’, I mean that both Microsoft and VMware have developed the architecture that provides a great user experience. Prior to Horizon View 5.2, only VOIP phones were supported and there were bandwidth constraints that made this unviable and resulted in a poor experience for end users. - VMware Cloud Ops Blog: Configuration Management in the Cloud (http://blogs.vmware.com/cloudops/?p=877)by Kai Holthaus “The Cloud” is one of the biggest paradigm shifts in the IT world. Instead of provisioning physical hardware in a physical data center and then managing applications running on the physical hardware, virtualization has allowed IT organizations to decouple logical infrastructure from physical infrastructure, and thereby deliver new-found flexibility to provide and manage value-add services. Additionally, IT organizations can now provision the cloud infrastructure itself, along with the…
