Hi All ...
My Name is Shady Ali Ahmed El-Malatawey. I’m working as VMware System Engineer with 4 years experience (I know it’s too short ). Currently certified as:
- MCITP: Virtualization Administrator.
- VCP5-DCV.
- VCP5-DT.
- VCAP5-DCA. ( )
- MCTS: Microsoft SCCM 2007, Configuring.
- MCTS: Microsoft SCOM2007, Configuring.
The following series is a collection of scattered pieces of information from many blogs, websites and official documentation of VMware about vSphere 5.x. It’s collected during my one-year journey with VCP 5-DCV and VCAP 5-DCA certifications as well as my technical experience during this year.
It contains 24 parts, starting from simple guide of installing ESXi 5.x hosts and vCenter Server, reaching advanced features, like: Auto Deploy, Syslog Collector Configuration, auxiliary products, like: VMware Update Manager, VMware Management Assistant and vCenter Operation Manager and vSphere CLI.
Readers of this series should be -at least- at VCA-DCV level, so that they can coup with the naming conventions, features and basically the concept of Virtualization itself.
